Well they need to build up proper infrastructure for 3G & EVDO that will take some time..
For Internet, BSNL Broadband rocks for the time being counting on the top for its reliability of speed, affordability & its unlimited plans.

It will take a lot of time even for private telcos to provide that reliability of speed on a wireless technology.

Today after placing complaint my BSNL 3G speed came up from 35kB/s to 45kB/s(it seems to be funny tat in 3G im getting 2.5G speed) & the biggest problem is 3G is not present in remaining parts of Bijapur city, im not able to judge whether prob is wit network or with my USB stick

Congrats BSNL… But still I think 1.9Lakh 3G (data+mobile) customers till March2010 is slow and not a great number to celebrate, when comparing what the private players would have achieved, if such monopoly chance was given…
