Calld CC, so much of noise, still tried their best to cover all the possibilities.
    1. 2G plan is Ok and better fast ~200 kbps (dont try to download any big files @ this speed) compare to other operators @ 98 (previous 2GB@98rs, now ~1GB@98), now ~2GB@125, hiked the prices.
    2. By mistake if you recharge with any 2G plan, then you can’t change to 3G until the 2G expired.
    3. Used MTS 1gb@250rs but good speed. Hope BSNL’s 201 and 350 STV will provide decent speeds of at least 1Mbps. (Ready to try 350 STV promotional pack for 30days and free 25% free usage)
For any help call CC 1503 or for any plans simply SMS “SCHEME” to 53735

3G signal in my area is very poor even I am not getting one bar of signal, after several complaints not even signal response from them. To conclude after years of 3G expansion in India what the hell they are doing in their office. Don’t buy BSNL for their 3G services, i recommend airtel for their best coverage in chennai. This is after through checking in indoor and outdoor coverage in chennai.

Best is to do recharge of BSNL 2G of INR 245 in kerala OR INR 279 in other states; 10GB for 30 days. Choose WCDMA only in your usb modem, you will get a decent 32KBps speed. This is the best option available for nonstop downloaders.

Else go for INR 5000 for 100GB with MTNL Delhi at 3G speed.

    Rest are useless :(

bsnl rate is dubble & speed is 1/4
    just fooling
all bsnl 3g network’s now useless so
we will not use bsnl 3g if its @free of cost
    bcoz its poorest Browsing speed
(we unbale to open https site lik gmail etc @evning)
    so funny offer
bsnl 625 UL @512kbps broadband plan (its fast getting 1mbps)
is better than bsnl 3g 3.6mbps plan (its slow getting 256kbps to 1mbps with limit)

bsnl 625 ul plan gives me 512 kbps only upto 4gb,then 256kbps!just like fup of pvt operators!from which area u are getting such high speeds!its funny that mtnl gives double speed in the same price in BIG metros & Our BSNL gives cheaper bb plans to villages! It seems “smaller middle class” cities like kolkata chennai will always suffer!

So, what you want? I go to remote areas and dense forests to get the coverage? Calling me senseless won’t change the true picture.
When I talk about network, I’m not talking about its reach whether they have towers at this of that place or even on your head. It’s the quality of the network which matters the most for me. What to do with coverage at numerous places when you face problems like slow Internet speed, call drops, non-delivery of messages, unhelpful customer care, limited recharge options and so on.
I have gone through hundreds of paces in Punjab/Haryana/Himachal where private telcos have their coverage and not BSNL.
If BSNL is that much good why Airtel/Reliance/Vodafone/Idea are at the top of the table when it comes to subscriber base? Soon, BSNL will be replaced by Aircel at 5th spot. If you look at the data of GSM subscribers, BSNL is losing customers in all circles. So as per you all these customers should visit that dense forest to get quality services.
BSNL has monopoly in some services like broadband and many other, yet they are losing more than private telcos.
Moreover BSNL receives highest port-out requests than any other operator. There are endless facts which makes BSNL a loser.
If you still feel BSNL is good, get some treatment from psychiatrist.

No operator have good coverage in all places ,May be u are right Punjab/Haryana/Himachal have trouble with BSNL network out of other 26 circle . That doesn’t make BSNL a worst provider.

Good news for BSNL supporters in BSNL was allowed to purchase 5.5 Million lines of GSM equipment after 5 years . And its installation will be over by few months.

…. Use indian products and save Rupees ….

Use BSNL/MTNL/Airtel as ur network ….

Moreover BSNL is good in Tamilnadu in terms of GSM coverage and GPRS speed (10 to 12 KB/s i.e., 80 to 96 kbps).

What I can do if blind people like you can’t read the circle mentioned in the post. Just check the post again and circle name is mentioned as Haryana many a times and also tariffs of same circle was detailed by me.
Just because BSNL is good at your place within 40-50 Kms area, it doesn’t mean it is good all over India. Having good service in 4-5 circles or southern zone doesn’t make sense.

I fully support this opinion. Their tariff and STVs equal only with Airtel. BSNL is the costliest cellular service with worst quality. We are using it only for friends and family number facility. Even for data, it is nowhere near Aircel in Hyderabad. I don’t know why some people praise it and I strongly suspect that they are nothing but members of BSNL’s bloated workforce. An employee of BSNL confessed that indeed they had no work and were continuing jobs only thanks to trade unions. All of us have to pay for them with double the tariff of private providers. As Saurabh said, while all private providers, except Airtel, priced 1/2second booster below maximum at Rs 39, BSNL priced it at Rs 61 per month! How can BSNL boasts that it was for common people, let alone middle class consumers? I observed that many road side vendors and apartment watchmen and low income groups use Reliance CDMA, which has good network, and not BSNL, the socalled ‘state-run’ company. Shame on BSNL and its top brass!! Shame! You are actually fleecing the common people by pilfering government funds for your top brass’ fat salaries!

    Saurabh :
Whatever 3G plans A,B or C operator comes with but thus far Aircel is the most cheapest in terms of 3G pricing. I hope they soon start services in non-licensed areas with Tata Docomo so that customers of other circles can also take benefit of their price reduction. When these 3 f***ing*ss** Airtel-Idea-Vodafone is providing services under ICRA, why not others.
As far as BSNL is concerned it continues to be the worst in network and costliest in voice market. Here in Haryana, Aircel is providing Rs.16 STV with benefits of 1p/3s for A2A calls, 1p/2s for A2O calls and 1p/s for STD calls to any number. The same voucher cost Rs.38 for 90 days. While BSNL charging Rs.61 for 30p/min local and STD in this plan will be Rs.0.60/min.
Even Tata/Reliance/Airtel/Vodafone charging Rs.45 for same pack with per sec pulse. Idea has it for Rs.33. So all are charging less than BSNL. Beside this other telcos have better SMS packs than BSNL. If we talk about Videocon, they provide STV-25 with 20 as Talktime and calls to any network across India at 25p/min. So for just Rs.5, you get the most cheapest tariffs. Also Rs.12 SMS pack on Videocon allows SMS @1p/sms.
But I’m on Aircel for voice and now data also. Recharged Rs.38 STV yesterday with 90 days benefit of 1p/3s for A2A calls, 1p/2s for A2O calls and 1p/s for STD calls and 251 pack for 90 Days unlimited Internet in which they also provide 150 A2A free.
I have seen many calling BSNL as cheap but I find it the most costliest. There is nothing called lifetime validity voucher in BSNL and a person has to recharge again and again to avoid outgoing call barring.

On most of points I agree with Saurabh (from Haryana). BSNL network is not good at my place also. Have complained them many times but nobody solved my problem. I ported out to Aircel. Aircel has good tariffs but also have coverage issues. But as I don’t roam much and use it at home and workplace more, it don’t affect me as their network is present. Many people at my place are porting-out from BSNL to private operators because of their bad services and customer care support. But if they streghen their network which has very less chance, I will port back to them. I hope golden days of BSNL returns but with such huge tariffs and always down network, it looks like a distant dream.

Although BSNL trying to provide any offers there is no strength in their network to meet 3G speed,
If u r stable for a moment while browsing then u have to reconnect net again otherwise speed stays @0KBps
one more thing there is no FULL TALK TIME offer in BSNL

in my opinion AIRTEL is always best even though they offer somewhat less compared to others but they strictly provide those offers with no restriction.
Airtel has always FULL signal when compared any network….
    ***no call drops
***no longtime wait while connecting call
    ***Instant message delevering

    To Saurabh :

Talk with sense man. BSNL is not worst in terms of network. It provides coverage even at remote areas. For example : BSNL provides 3 to 5 bars out of 5 maximum bars (that is used to show network strength in a mobile) when travelling from Mettupalaiyam to Ooty in Nilgiri Mountain Railway through dense forests of Western Ghats.

I agree that BSNL’s voice tariffs are costly. Compared to Airtel, BSNL is cheap. But in Tamilnadu this is the current situation :

    1) Cheapest provider for per second tariff : TATA DOCOMO GSM (Rs.35 booster – TD 2 TD @ Rs.0.01 for 6 seconds, TD 2 Others @ Rs.0.005 per second and all STD @ Rs.0.012 per second for 90 days).

    2) Cheapest provider for per minute tariff (ALL INDIA) : IDEA (Rs.68 booster – All India calls @ Rs.0.30 per minute for 90 days AND Rs.22 – On net calls @ Rs.0.10 per minute, all offnet calls within TN @ Rs.0.30 per minute and all STD calls at Rs.0.60 per minute).

    3) 2nd cheapest provider for per minute tariff (within TN) : Videocon (Rs.25 booster – All calls within TN @ Rs.0.25 per minute without FUP and all STD calls upto 300 minutes @ Rs.0.25 per minute and after the limit, Rs.0.40 per minute AND Rs.30 booster – all India calls @ Rs.0.30 per minute (no limit)).

It would be better if BSNL launches per month plan (200/300 MB) in less than 100 rs instead of copying others, but after all a very good and quick move by BSNL.

Rcom New 3G Data Plans – Prepaid (Mobile+ Dongle )
    Rs.98 1 GB 2 Days
    Rs.153 1 GB 7 Days
    Rs.255 1 GB 30 Days
    Rs.449 2 GB 30 Days
    Rs.650 3 GB 30 Days………

if this above tariff is very enchanting then BSNL tariff i think very much compatible.
Dear friends there are so many users who need more validity than GB/MB,they just check mail and PNR through the month need not more GB/MB.
i don’t understand why not other provider giving 1 GB at RS. 25/50 while they are using young employer’s blood at very very cheap salary & blooming their profit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also think giving comments in telecomtalk.info should be pay in basis other wise all wises (including me) give their wisdom in free…….

    To all :

    1) Speed problem :
See congestion happens in all the networks and it is natural. Now a days all the companies are just adding the subscribers without increasing the tower capacity. Then think what will happen?. The same situation of waiting in a hotel (with rush) for a long time to get our food prepared.

    2) FMC :
This is for postpaid users where the service tax is not added to the MRP of the voucher. I think this is the meaning.

    3) Switching between 2G and 3G :
I think only Aircel will not allow you to recharge with any 3G data pack when 3G is disabled (eventhough you can make video calls and get pay as you use 3G speed and tariff after logging into the 3G network).

The same way you cannot use any 2G data voucher (in Aircel) if you have enabled 3G facility (not recharged with any 3G voucher) only. This is the problem in Aircel. Aircel should correct this and follow the principle of other operators (reduce the speed to 2G if any 2G data voucher is recharged when a 3G data pack is active (just before recharging) and vice versa).

See the plans announced by brainless honchos! 200MB for Rs 50 for 15 days and 300MB for 100 for month. One can get 400MB for Rs 100 by charging two times a month. If one pays Rs 100 at a time, he will suffer loss of 100MB. The punishment for paying at once, instead of giving sops to those who pay in advance!!!

@Rohan Singh Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is going to start a new service namely fixed mobile convergence (FMC) service for its customers across the country to offer full connectivity with both cellular and landline with this network based service.

The fixed mobile convergence (FMC) is an innovative technology by which customers can connect both the mobile and land line telephones through a single telecommunication network. To enjoy FMC service, customers need to have a specialized handset with a dual mode so that they can easily connect their mobile and fixed (landline) telephones network.

About the launch of this exclusive service, BSNL director, Consumer Mobility, Mr. R K Agarwal said “Subscribers of BSNL will get the facility of the fixed mobile convergence that will provide a better user experience and convenience with full connectivity.”
He added,”BSNL will launch its fixed mobile convergence facility to its subscribers once the mobile number portability (MNP) comes into effect”.

The big fart expected from the state-run proverbial elephant turned out to be a big flop. This is outrageous plan, Rs 151-1gb-for just 7 days! I get 1 gb and 2g unlimited with assured 120 kbps from Aircel at Rs 198. Now the Aircel is giving Rs 200 talk time for Rs 149 hence the 1 GB is for Rs 149, if I go for USSD activation. No body has beaten Aircel so far, including socalled ‘rocking’ stinking BSNL, at whose customer centres the aunties don’t know what is GPRS and the difference between 2g and 3g! Go to hell, BSNL!
