India’s National Telecom Backnone and 3G Mobile Service operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) announced that its 3G the next generation mobile service is now available in more than 241 cities in the North, East and South Zone.
However in West Zone and some more cities; BSNL 3G network and service is available without the commercial launch. According to the BSNL, the network up-gradation work is going on in full swing across India to accommodate every one in the next generation mobile network. The 3G services brings high quality voice services along with high speed data and video services.
Creating a paradigm shift in the digital communications, BSNL recently launched 3G service in India. By making 3G services affordable with lowest Voice call and Video call charges as well as High Speed 3G Wireless Broadband Data connectivity at 1 paisa for 10KB in India. BSNL also indulge in facilitating socio-economic development of the masses through applications such as Telemedicine, e-education and e-governance. 3G is an enabler for India to meet its target of 20 million broadband subscribers by 2010.

I am from Manipur, North East india, is there any company name called ‘Broadcasting Service Network Limited’, the company is recruiting many people by taking 3 lakhs for the post of LDC by saying that there would be an autonomous body for 3G in India across the country and in there order letter there is a round seal of our National Emblem. I don’t know whether this company is trusted one or not. Plz help me out of this…..

I am in Raigad Dist – In Raigad too only in Pen and one more place that’s all. Even their exchanges near to their HQ (New Panvel) does not have 3G ! According to PRO, REDUNDANT “FIVE YEAR” PLANS ARE AT WORK !

BSNL 3G progress halt in Maharashtra or what??
After Pune, Nashik,Raigad & Goa 3G launching, none of the new district,city has got 3G launching since last two months.. only test 3G network is showing in other area that also go off air always…
When contacted Customer service center that when it will be launched in our area of Ulhasnagar,Ambernath, Badlapur commercially, then they will just give the answer that we don’t know….
And also my Pune’s cousin has taken new 128KB 3G Sim for Rs.20 with FRC of Rs.120 but when he comes in Mumbai for offical purpose then from MTNL 3G network he can’t receive an incoming video call done by other 3G user while in UMTS Mumbai MTNL 3G network and further cannot access 3G enabled 3.1Mbps internet while in UMTS mode of MTNL 3G network.. Gives error as Packet Data Conection not available..
But can access GPRS while in GSM mode that is in MTNL 2G network but that is too slow to access.
So being an BSNL 3G card then why can’t he enjoy 3G benefits of Video calling & fast internet facility in MTNL Mumbai UMTS mode 3G network??
When I contacted customer care on that issue they told that 3G roaming is not available in Mumbai & Delhi until yet as that area come under MTNL .. they told me that you can roam with 3G facility only in BSNL area that is all over India BSNL circles but expect Mumbai & Delhi as they don’t have 3G roaming tie-ups with them.
So is it true that 3G roaming not available in MTNL network?? So can you confirmed for me from your side?? then I will provide my Cousins number to you for further reference..

Very Soon!, Andhra Pradesh will get 3G service in just few days..most probably by the end of this month, BSNL all set to launch 3G mobile and data services in AP initially in more than 25 to 30 cities across the state.

241 cities… Even it is tooo slow, when none other than you are permitted to start 3G.. Just guess what will RGSM or Docomo will do, if ONLY they are allowed to give 3G services, how fast they will work out…

Yes would love to have it in bangalore and Kerala.. I am using a bsnl 3G connection in Chennai… Not bad at all.. Except for customer service.. But usually wouldn’t need there help… Tried calling a video call with Random Nos.. Once got successfull… Not bad.. Any one like to test video call.. Let me know your No.. Very Glad to see the big list but can’t find Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly from West Bengal State. Is BSNL is not started 3G service in City area.
BSNL is going to repeat the history again. We have seen in past BSNL poor Mobile service in City areas. They always claim better network in rural village as they can’t handle cities heavy traffic with best Telecom Infrastructure.

No its not fully correct because just few days back i visited Bangalore and some near by places in Karnataka on everywhere i got 2.75 EDGE Network and some parts of Bangalore city i also got the 3G network,i used it.
It might be true that in remote part and rural area of Karnataka still they has 2G as you said.
