In a bid to boost the 3G Wireless Broadband services, India’s National Telecom Backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today reduces the price of its plug-n-play 3G USB Devices (3G Data Card) from Rs.3500 to Rs.2500.
The operator also offers free data transfers up to of 6 GB per month (One GB at Day time and 5 GB Night Usage) for 2 month on the purchase of Data Card from BSNL.
Recently BSNL crosses One Million 3G GSM Mobile and Data service subscriber mark and offers it next generation 3G services in more than 370 cities across India.
BSNL offer 3G Wireless Broadband services with speed up to 3.6 Mbps and 7.2 Mbps (depends on device) for the prepaid and postpaid subscribers, with the attractive Limited and Unlimited 3G data tariff plans starts from Rs.249 to Rs.2499.

The Data card from BSNL is locked and it works only with BSNL sim. Other

1.MTNL sell 3G Data Cards of Micromax and Capital while BSNL sell TERACOM’s LW272 (3.6 Mbps), LW273 (7.2 Mbps), and Capitals GTMAX (3.6 Mbps) 7200 (7.2 Mbps). MTNL and BSNL allows customers to have its own Data Card.
HUAWEI 3G Data Card is best in performance.
2.MTNL Delhi 3G Unlimited Plan users can Roam across India with BSNL network for free data access in Roaming.
3.HUAWEI 3G Data Card is best in performance.
(i) E176- Support 2Mbps (5.76Mbps ready) HSUPA and 7.2Mbps HSDPA services.
(ii)E160- Support 3.6Mbps HSDPA services.
(iii) E166- Support 7.2Mbps HSDPA services.

I have been using Relaince netconnect broadband+ for my laptop and MTNL for my handset. but I want to move to MTNL/BSNL. I have three quaries which i Could not get solved from Customercare(MTNL). First what are the models of HSDPA modem sold by BSNL/MTNL(I AM INTERESTED IN HUAWEI E176, CAN YOU SUGGEST WHERE CAN WE GET UNLOCKED VERSION, IF POSSIBLE IN DELHI)? Second, the roaming between BSNL and MTNL is CHARGEABLE or FREE for unlimited plan? Third, which modem is better – HUAWEI or MICROMAX?

Aapko ye news kahan se mila? BSNL ke website pe datacard ka cost 2500/- kab se bataya ja raha hai, par 2500/- me kahin nahin diya ja raha hai. Customer care datacard ka cost 4200/- batate hain. Website pe likhe hone ki baat to wo maante hin nahin hain.

No its not possible to access 3G services with HUAWEI EG162G.
The HUAWEI EG162G data card only for GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz) network only.
