In a bid to boost the 3G Wireless Broadband services, India’s National Telecom Backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today slashed the price of its plug-n-play 3G USB Devices (Teracom 3G Data Card) from Rs. 2500 to Rs.1600 for its customer in all telecom circles except Maharastra & M.P.
With the price reduction now TERACOM’s Single Band (3.6 Mbps) 3G Data Card (Linktop LW272) will cost just Rs.1600 instead of Rs 2500/2200. While Linktop / LW273 Tri Band (7.2 Mbps) 3G Data Card will be available for Rs.2000. Apart from 3G Data Card price reduction, BSNL also revised sale price of CDMA EVDO data card from Rs.2500 to Rs.1499
BSNL 3G Data Card will enable anytime, anywhere instant High Speed wireless Internet connectivity across more than 800 cities in India with Speed up to 3.6 MBPS and 7.2 Mbps (depends on device) for laptops and other computing devices, thereby significantly benefiting business users, roamers and travelers.
The Data Card Price may be various in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh- Chattisgarh telecom circle due to VAT.The new 3G Data Card Price will be effective from 20th May 2011.

Well done BSNL. Sure this will bring in more customers. The NIC data card price should be Rs 1000 I guess.Then the rate are par with Reliance data cards (cdma 1x Rs 1099 and EVDO data card Rs 1599)

My number of Assam Circle 9401767882 is not recognised as the service provided by BSNL for the online rechrage enable by Citiank Card.Upon being contacted the concerned officials of Citibanks told that they have not been provided the intial five digit of the number i.e 94017 by the BSNL hence they are unable to process the request.Would BSNL officials look into providing the series to the Citibank officials?

Nearly 6 Months Ago I Purchased 3G Idea Netsetter E1550 3.6 Mbps at 1600 Rs At Idea Gallery & Unlock it for TATA DOCOMO & Nearly Since 3 Months I Hack DOCOMO 3G With Simple Converting Trick for 3G Speed for 2G Data Pack (Rs 95-4GB & 149 – 8 GB) so Now currently I m Ussing 2G GPRS 149 8 GB packs at 2.5 Mbps to 3.2 Mbps at all time (Dowload Speed with IDM 300 KBps to 400 KBps)

This is a good initiative by BSNL.Only thing they have to do is the publicity and adverisement.As many peole don’t have the thought of BSNL 3G stick while looking for mobile internet.They condsider Tata Photon and MTS blaze as the only option as these have been synonymous with data Card because of agressive print media and electronic media promotions.More than this this device has to be available at most of the local Kiosks.Alternatively they can send smses to all their active mobile customers to make it more popular.advertisement can be on the back of landline bills also.
