Oh yes, I have a Friend who is tethering with his phone via Bluetooth and using it. I have a Blackberry with a crappy internet (thanks to AIRTEL), so i use Playbook with Wifi at office and home and on Blackberry Bridge when on road.

@sam
Really???… and the FlipKart delivery guy informed me that this tablet has been selling like hot cakes in and around Electronic City, Bangalore since last few days. He already had many more boxes of the same to be delivered the same day.

@novicefreak1
Yes. This is very much possible. Actually blackberry has streamlined this to an extent that you only need to tether it to any bluetootrh enabled cell phone, define the APN settings and the OS takes care of the rest. I would have loved it if this device also had USB Host-on-the-go feature, which would have helped using USB 3G dongles to directly access 3G network. But then this is a very high quality device, which is is way much more expensive than the price you are getting this for and for the rest also workarounds exist. Just use any china tablet worth Rs 15000+ and after that lay your hands on this tab. You will discover the difference immediately. Even in tablets such as iBall Slide, which sells in the market for Rs 14000 or so, the major components are attached to the chassis by duct tapes only. On the other hand a teardown pic of this beauty speaks eons about the quality of the components and the high level of workmanship which have gone under making of this tab. Android or no android, this device is worth many times more than the price you pay for it because of the specifications, components and the quality of the workmanship itself. Highly recommended.

@Ganesan
sir, appreciate your replies and sharing. I am trying to know the case for playbook. Because as I have read few reviews it states in playbook if one has to tether via bluetooth it can only be done using a BB phone…which means
1) BB phone + tether with BB playbook….this is fine,
2) but Any phone + tether BB Playook is this possible…..? thanks.
