BB Phone, BIS and all such BS is a must to connect internet (even on WiFi I heard) is a big let-down, imho… If they removed that restriction and NOT reduced the price to this level, it will sell fast…

Is it worth trying out, at this price, compared to many Android tablets?
For the limitation of no e mail client, one can access e mails directly on the web
My fit is that, it should be a much better device –
a] better speed and less resource hungry and
b] better for multi media –
compared to many many ….. many similarly priced Android tablets

Biggest drawback of playbook is we need a blackberry phone to connect otherwise it is very good offer
Amit.G December 27, 2011 at 7:32 pm
They reduced price because playbook became a big failure with only 0.15million units sold, Now in order to reduce the inventory cost RIM Has planned to sell it at low cost hoping that atleast now people will buy.

blackberry is clearing out its stock of playbooks as it has already stopped production of the same and has been declared a failure in the international market and by many rating agencies..
