Android Comes Cheap With Acer beTouch e110Android – the name works! Probably most tech savvy people would like to try hands on an Android powered device while tablets are not available in India, mobile phones are found be pricey.

But Acer comes here to rescue us introducing a smartphone powered by Android OS with a price tag of sub 10K. Flipcart starts selling Acer E110 beTouch (available in blue and black) at Rs 8999 officially with warranty and all. Acer beTouch E110 was launched at Mobile World Congress in February this year.




The handset is an entry level, affordable android smartphone which is stylish and slim enough and comes with 3G connectivity, 3.2MP camera. The E110 is sported with 2.8-inch resistive touch screen of QVGA resolution. In addition there is also a circular D-pad.

The smartphone is preloaded with older Android 1.5 OS but Acer has modified UI slightly with some small additions, which as they said Acer UI. It has five homescreen pages, where you keep your shortcuts and widgets. Acer has added its own widgets namely widget for built-in FM Radio, Spinlets for streaming media. Spinlets is a free media streaming networking software with search function to genre catalog of major TV shows, labels, etc.

The UI is simple and intuitive. Creating messages are lot easier with the help of TouchPal virtual keyboards. There are three types of onscreen keyboards: full QWERTY, alphanumeric and half QWERTY keyboards. You can access android market for downloading games, themes, wallpapers, and software updates.

Acer beTouch E110 is also added social networking support to attract young customers. UrFooz allows you to create profiles with the virtual avatars, share your activity in the connected social networking sites. Twidroid and Facebook come pre-installed to make social networking easier. This economic handset has one omission, WiFi.
