Airtel Upgrades SMS2.0

airtel-sms2Airtel has upgraded its SMS 2.0 application, an alternate to the default SMS client found in most phones. The latest version of SMS2.0 comes with quick search and has 28 cool emoticons. Airtel is also offering Rs. 100 worth free wallpaper and animations with its latest version of the SMS 2.0 application.

SMS is one of the most popular applications on the mobile phone, however the interface for SMS has seen little change over the years. While its online counterparts like e-mail and chat have advanced quite a bit with regards to personalization and interactivity, SMS has remained static and dull.

SMS2.0 is a free upgrade to the SMS application. SMS 2.0 is also available for Reliance Mobile and Idea Cellular subscribers as well. To download the latest bug free version

    But the issue is only a few people make use of GPRS… to read sms 2.0 messages, one would have to use the application on their phone too.
    What would be data/sms charges for send/receive?

    yes m using it for the last 2 years and have come to know about various offers and schemes using them…besides alls for free so its good rite?

    i was using their last version of sms application quite sometime ago and it is quite good but the thing is that in terms of apps the default message application in phone OS is good it makes ur message application quite slow and u have to always select “AIRTEL LIVE” as its access point otherwise it gives u unnecessary errors which is quite irritating

    Well, Airtel is best in GPRS service provider and and easily you can add GPRS or use airtel live for free. With some manual GPRS settings

    @bharat
    That’s good, just regular charging like normal sms… but it’s a technical issue that the receiver might not be using/not willing to use GPRS to view the sms.

    I have been using this application for sometime. Its really cool and it uses no GPRS/data to send an SMS. The SMS goes as usual and I use to send cool trendy messages to all my friends. What I like most about this is the cool Jokes & shers which come on the Message Sent page :)
