The CNBC AWAAZ Consumer Awards have just concluded in Mumbai with the the Hon. Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee attending the event to present the awards to the most deserving candidates from a number of consumer brands based on the exhaustive surveys carries out across 21 cities.
The torch bearers for these awards in the telecom sector were Airtel, Nokia and BSNL.
Airtel was awarded the best brand in the mobile sector. The award reflects their perseverance in being at the top of the market in providing top mobile service and being the market leader in terms of subscribers.
The consumers chose to award Nokia the top spot amongst mobile manufacturers in India. With its enormous range of mobiles and sustained credibility over years has made it the choice of the consumers.
The state run BSNL managed to beat other broadband providers to be the most preferred service provider in the broadband category. This just gives it the much needed boost to continue keeping the services top notch.

By recognizing and awarding those who have excelled in adverse conditions, we not only acknowledge their exemplary accomplishments, but also inspire the younger generation to follow suit. This is one of the effective ways of cultivating and perpetuating excellence. And with such a spirit of excellence, we may be able to realize the dream of a developed India sooner. I once again congratulate the award winners. ”
Further, Mr. Sanjay Pugalia, Editor in Chief, CNBC AWAAZ said, “CNBC AWAAZ was launched 5 years ago with the aim of democratization of wealth and investor protection, investor education and consumer empowerment. I’m fed – up with the airtel. Airtel sucks, although it has a good network but its customer service is worst in India. Moreover it is a money minded chep company…it cuts money from your account by giving juicy msgs, and willingly or by mistake u click it…you are fu**ed up.

BSNL:Finally BSNL broadband is super brand, BSNL working hard after the negligence from Govt, after all they are doing well for their subscribers. BSNL offers are always without any hidden charges or conditions so they are the best for us.
Airtel: Now they are facing huge problems to serve better way to subscribers. Just wait till MNP.
Nokia: Agreed tht this is a best brand in GSM & CDMA handset, they are the best in long lasting battery, strong reception antenna & easy to operate features Nokia getting more customers but what about after sales services??? Nokia care are ready to pull your money from your pockets, for software updates they asking Rs 400 or even more, even they don’t know tht updates are avail or not??? To repair the handset fault during warranty period they require min. one month till then you have to wait, after tht one month you are not sure to get it repaired, reason always parts not avail in India Is it features of Best brand???? no no no never this is 3rd class brand after sales. They need to focus on after sales services, about the cost or price Nokia selling most of the outdated models in India which are in kept in his warehouse as a scrap & tht scrap we are using @ high prices. Is it true or not??? We Indians get new model after European countries use it & throw out. Then why we are awarded to this Company who are selling us scrap @ very hi rates????

Thats 100% true I’m using Nokia from past 1 and half years its really cool than any other mobile company and my parent has 2 Nokia mobiles..now i have using micromax x114..which sucks but my mom’s 1100 is still reliable…
and AIRTEL as a network provider is really good in Kolkata & across West Bengal where sometimes DOCOMO IDEA AIRCEL & even BSNL can’t give the proper network coverage..in durgapur i saw the loose netwoek coverage of BSNL..the network goes down without any reason..i saw the problem last 6-7 months..I’m using AIRTEL from last 5 months..which is very satisfying for me to stay connected with my peoples..sometimes it deducted my balance for some unknown reason but i got it back soon from the AIRTEL CC….the call rate is really high of AIRTEL but to stay connected i choose AIRTEL not the others….so NOKIA & AIRTEL ROCKS….

who said dat thy r loosing quality ha.. Airtel n nokia rocks i m using them 4m last 4 yrs.. Fully satsifed wd them.. Airtel is standard operator nt lyk docomo unior .. Bakavas ekdam .. Nokia is far better than these china crap micromax .. Etc .. So use nokia n airtel aur DIKHAO APANA STANDARD…
