Bharti Airtel, India’s largest GSM service provider, has taken its award winning MCHECK application a step further – the service is now available Voice! Previously if a customer wanted to use the MHECK service he/she needed to SMS “AIRTEL” to 543219, after which a URL would be sent to the phone. In case the handset did not support the application, then the MCHECK registration & usage would not be possible.
All that has changed now, an Airtel mobile customer simply needs to call 543219 (Toll-free) and register his credit card number, the entire process takes less than 5 minutes.
MCHECK service can be used for any of the following
- Postpaid Bill Payment
- Prepaid Recharge
- Airtel Landline Bill Payment
Registration is so simple, just follow these steps:
- Dial 543219
- Enter 6 digit Pin number of your choice
- Enter 16 digit CREDIT CARD number
- Enter 3 digit CVV2 number (reverse of card)
- Lastly enter CARD EXPIRY DATE (MM YY format)
Payments using MCHECK is done as follows:
- Dial 543219
- Select (1) for POSTPAID BILL PAYMENT (2) PREPAID RECHARGE (3) Landline Payment
- Enter the PAYMENT AMOUNT and press (1) when asked to confirm
- Enter the MOBILE NUMBER (if paying for another mobile subscriber) and option (2)
- Enter the REGISTERED PIN NUMBER
- SMS would be received confirming success (or failure) or the payment

Mcheck is a Worst Service… Airtel needs to get rid of it… it sucks…. i hate airtel.. m switchin to some other service provider

Here too waste of time tried plenty of times bit after getting all the details of credit cards gets disconnect, i think its waste of time better to recharge from outlets

I am finding difficult to register mcheck, paying airtel bills is a big task as most of the days server down in all the outlets, cridit card payments not working etc.. i have ended up paying late fee due to this problems. need to register for mcheck, i am trying for few days and unable to get thru..

NIYAM BHUSHAN, as per AIRTEL they have tied up “with all major banks” – I guess CORPORATION BANK does not fall into this category !

corporation bank has not activated this service for its customers. when i asked why, they simply stated there are some RBI clearances that have to come. this is quite sad. airtel and mchek should work together to smoothen the adoption of mchek for customers.

With VOICE access available for MCHECK the problems of “Unable to Register Due to Incompatible Handset” should be a thing of the past…

one can feel a bit uncomfortable while switching on the mobile a mcheck menu appeared as a snake “welcome to mcheck activate what a pinching sim programming its very painfull to see this menu

It’s crazy … You can even find the address by a simple phone number.. Wonder what’s gonna come next ?
