Exclusive: Airtel Launches Unlimited BlackBerry 3G Data Plan For Rs.299

In an attempt to boost the Blackberry services, Bharti Airtel India's largest GSM mobile service operator today announced the launch of 3G - HSPA Speed up-gradation plan for its existing Postpaid Unlimited BlackBerry Service customers for Rs.299 per month.




Before you jump with joy, let me clarify it, The new plan is 'Add-on Plan' or just speed Up-gradation plan for unlimited data usage from 2G to 3G. It is applicable only for existing airtel postpaid Blackberry service subscribers and available on BlackBerry smartphones with airtel Postpaid connections.

With Airtel's new Add-On 3G BlackBerry Plan-299, Postpaid BlackBerry subscribers on Rs.599 plan (retail users), Rs.399 plan (Business users) and also BlackBerry Enterprise & Retail users ( Rs.899 plan) can upgrade their 2G data usage speed to 3G - HSPA+ speed by paying extra Rs.299 per month. Wherein subscriber get 3G speed "on device" for Unlimited usage for BB service subscribers + "off-device" data usage at 3G speeds free upto 1GB per month.

So if you are on Postpaid Unlimited BlackBerry Plan -599 and want to upgrade or enjoy data speed from 2G to 3G - HSPA+, than you need to pay Rs.299 extra, like total cost will be Rs.898 (Rs.599+Rs.299).
