BBM is a proprietary Internet-based instant messenger application included on BlackBerry devices which allows messaging between BlackBerry using a unique pin. This IM client cannot be compared with any other as it was the first real time IM integrated in mobile OS. BBM is also one of the safest way to chat. Heads of nations chat on bbm coz of the safety of its encryption

Only thing which is missing is live video chat something like facetime from apple coz bb hardware does not support it. It hasn’t evolved enough with time.

    virendra kumar :

can anybody explain me these bbm plan uses 3g network or 2g network for transmission of data… And also do they charge extra for for data use .. During course of transmision….

Is there alternate of bbm like app on symbian and android platform … Apart from whatsapp…

2G or 3G network depends on Operator, BBM works on both. There is No extra charges or separate data charges for Data usage to access all features of BBM (mentioned in above post). Any one can share Picture/Image, Audio/Video file and unlimited text via BBM to any other BBM users anywhere in the world for Rs.129/month.

As of now No alternate of BBM on symbian and android platform, However Whatsapp and some messenger apps are there but all thease works with Data/GPRS/EDGE/3G plan so if you share lot of image and multimedia files with others via WhatsApp than it will be costly due to data consumptions/charges.

While in BBM charges is fixed (Rs.129/month) for Unlimited Access.

In the world of whatsapp and other such messangers…bbm 129 is still very costly. only few business men will use it.
If BB really want to sell there phones in the world of Android and windows then they should workk on reducing such plans to atlest 60 or so.
Any BBM user , pls do not take it otherwise.I just want to prmote bbm thts it.
