In an attempt to provide greater benefits to the mobile users of Assam and North East telecom circles, India's largest GSM mobile service operator Bharti Airtel today announced Roaming privilege for its Prepaid subscribers in the entire North East region dubbed as "One Airtel One North East".
Airtel subscribers in North East region including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland and Mizoram now can roam everywhere with their existing prepaid sim card.
With the prepaid roaming offer All outgoing calls will be charged at Rs 1 per minute for local calls while Rs 1.50 per minute for STD calls and Rs 1 per minute for incoming calls while roaming in other circle.
The ‘One Airtel One North East’ offer will be valid up January, 2011 as per guidelines of Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on prepaid roaming in North East.
