  • Nik July 10, 2012 4:32 pm

    Hey guys, you maybe facing such problems though i have no idea why. I have changed from MTNL to Reliance and now to Airtel and i definitely think Airtel is the best by far. See sometimes your broadband performance differs according to where you put up..
    I myself live in GK (south delhi) and i’ve got a turbo 75 Gb plan i.e. 4mbps speed and 75 Gb data usage.
    Its perfect i think at Rs.1699. I’ve used 63 Gb now and my speed’s still join strong. I get 500-550 kbps downloading speed all the time.

    @Abhishek
    U r rite. I have a 25 GB plan. my threshold was hit when i used up 13 GB. Its sick…
    The plans are overpriced here in India.

  • Abhishek January 19, 2012 2:24 pm

    Airtel is a cheater
    All Plans are 3rd class also airtel cheat their client. like if you have 2Mbps upto 75Gb then 256Kbps so airtel use trick, they downgrade your speed after 45-47Gb use.

  • Arun June 23, 2011 4:43 pm

    @samar:
    You are right. beam offers@ Rs.1000 10mpbs with fup of 30gb post which 2mbps unlimited.
    These plans from airtel are crap.

  • samar June 22, 2011 1:32 pm

    Sucks.. Beam Fiber rocks in hyderabad.. Sadly airtel will close its broadband markts by end of this year!

  • m June 22, 2011 1:19 am

    RIDICULOUS F.U.P limits ..10 gb/per month for 2mbps !!! hahahahaha… I can dld that in 1 day !

    ONLY sheer idiots will go for Airtel instead of MTNL Triband !

  • Jagan June 21, 2011 9:12 pm

    After these specified usage – FUP – the speed will be 256kbps – is ridiculous. If it is 512kbps is fine for all users.

  • devx101 June 21, 2011 6:15 pm

    airtel is still struggling to give 4 mbps pan india hw will they compete with others or reliance bwa which will come with a sticker of 50 or 100 mbps.

  • Ganesh June 21, 2011 1:24 pm

    Airtel sucks and they are cheats!!! I’ll stick with Reliance or BSNL!!

  • SUKHEN June 21, 2011 11:30 am

    BSNL Broadband plans are cheapest of ALL. Go for BSNL.

  • rajiev June 21, 2011 8:30 am

    airtel speed is good

  • karann June 21, 2011 1:25 am

    beamfiber or fivenet are fraud… use origional airtel

  • dcc June 20, 2011 10:52 pm

    fivenet is giving 10mbps for 500 rs a month. plz don’t go fr this plans, airtel is grossly overcharging fr bb.

  • Webly June 20, 2011 7:38 pm

    Expensiveeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • Deepak Rai June 20, 2011 7:25 pm

    tooo expensive when compared to BeamFiber in hyderabad. 1000rs with taxes, 10mbps plan till 30gb then after 2mbps unlimited transfer. Upload data is not counted in 30gb, that means unlimited uploads without FUP.

  • karann June 20, 2011 6:20 pm

    very cheap plans compare to bsnl and mtnl…good going airtel

  • Sougata Das June 20, 2011 5:39 pm

    what about Kolkata?

  • rajiev June 20, 2011 5:34 pm

    but speed is good.

  • rajiev June 20, 2011 5:13 pm

    is it tarrif war?

  • Mathew Carley June 20, 2011 5:11 pm

    @sam shibu

    Because the infrastructure costs them a fixed amount of money.

    It would be better to think of it as costing X + Y (where X is the infrastructure and Y is the bandwidth cost).

    Let’s put a hypothetical cost of Rs500 on the infrastructure, then for the 3GB plan the cost per GB would be Rs49.3, but for the 150GB plan it would be Rs10.67/GB – the basic principle being that if you buy in bulk, your per unit cost is cheaper.

  • mks June 20, 2011 5:10 pm
  • Mathew Carley June 20, 2011 5:07 pm

    @Dr.Pratik

    Regrettably, all of these plans come with Fair Usage Policy.

    It is clearly mentioned in the graphics provided “2mbps till 75GB” and “4mbps till 150GB” (or whatever the FUP is according to the plan) – this can be found in the row labeled “Download Speed”, as well as the row labeled “High Speed Transfer Quota”. After the FUP, the speed is reduced to 256kbit/s.

    Fortunately, these FUPs are vastly improved, and dare I say, a bit more reasonable as compared to their previous set plans – I’m hoping that Sunil fired the guy who made the previous set of plans.

    In my opinion, the next step should be to remove the speed caps and just let the lines run at “wire speed” (so anything up to about 20mbit/s for most people in those top-10 cities, and up to 6 or 7 for the people in other areas) up until they hit the FUP.

  • sam shibu June 20, 2011 4:51 pm

    75GB for 1600; approx Rs 20 per GB. Then how come 3GB for 649 bucks?

    Either they dont know the market, else their consultants are idiots. May be both !!!

  • sam shibu June 20, 2011 4:47 pm

    Gosh… pathetic packages… sure that nobody will go with these packages :(

  • Fuktel June 20, 2011 4:31 pm

    Very costly tariff plans. airtel is a chor company.

  • Jayanth MP June 20, 2011 4:11 pm

    airtel sucks period.

  • Shiva June 20, 2011 3:34 pm

    @Bappa
    rofl airtel people will die yaar.

  • DRKAVIN June 20, 2011 3:06 pm

    at last 150 gb plan…….wish it costs 1200-1600……

  • Arun June 20, 2011 2:58 pm

    FUP speed after limit should be atleast 512kbps else these are crap compared to BSNL’s.

  • Rehman Khan June 20, 2011 2:54 pm

    What about existing customer
    My current plan is 1799 50 GB

  • Bappa June 20, 2011 1:53 pm

    NOT only chor…i never seen Such Big Ma*******d company…they always make foll to people…..

  • Dr.Pratik June 20, 2011 1:28 pm

    plans are fine but what about fair use policy?
    are these plans without fair use policy?

  • raj June 20, 2011 1:13 pm
