With its small footprint and high level of usability, Opera Mini provides a consistent user experience across a broad range of handsets. With this, over 253 million Airtel customers across countries including India, South Asia and Africa will now be able to leverage Opera Mini’s unique proxy-server-based technology to compress data by up to 90% and decrease their data transfer costs.

Opera Software has agreements with 13 out of the top 30 operators globally. Used by over 168 million users, Opera Mini is the world’s most popular web browser on mobile phones. Opera Mini’s popularity in emerging markets can be credited to its smooth performance on basic/non-smartphones.

Yes correct ,Chrome is too fast , firefox very stable and good rendering, internet explorer is essential for some websites to display properly but opera is not browser its magic ,only in 10 MB and still gives us RSS feeds, mail client, and of-course a browser with Absolute rendering with stability, good speed. Its my favorite browser in mobile as well as desktop. try ‘Opera mobile’ (13 MB ) on android instead opera mini(850KB). very excellent.
