Airtel revises price of 4G WiFi hotspot device from Rs 999 to Rs 1699

Soon after Airtel offering 4G WiFi hotspot device for Rs 999, it has now hiked the cost of the device to Rs 1699. Airtel has also cut back on bundled free data usage from 10GB to 6GB.

The special offer in which 4G WiFi hotspot device was being offered for Rs 999 was introduced by Airtel in Kerala circle - though Airtel was still selling the device for Rs 2,300 in other circles and on its website. The Huawei made Airtel WiFi hotspot is powered by a 1500 mAh Li-ion Polymer battery and can connect 10 devices for up to 6 hours.

Vodafone and Idea still haven’t managed to launch their 4G WiFi device giving Airtel a clear edge over its rivals. However, Reliance Jio is offering its WiFi hotspot device called personal WiFi at Rs 1,999 for its employees as part of limited 4G launch.
