India’s largest Mobile Service operator Airtel today launched its 3G Mobile and Data services in Delhi. Airtel 3G service are now available in Delhi, New Delhi, Faridabad, Noida and Gurgaon (Entire Delhi and NCR telecom circle).
After Bangalore (Karnataka), Chennai and Coimbatore (Tamilnadu) Jaipur (Rajasthan) Delhi is the 4th circle which get Airtel 3G services.
Speaking on the launch of 3G service in Delhi circle, Mr Atul Bindal, Bharti airtel President (Mobile Services) said ”airtel’s 3G services are already in the seven cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mysore, Manipal, Udipi and Jaipur and will be available in all 13 telecom circles by March 2011. We are also in talks with other 3G service operators to provide seamless 3G services while National Roaming across India.”
To activate the 3G service on Airtel Delhi subscribers need to send a SMS 3G to 121. After sending the SMS the confirmation SMS will comes and 2G Data Plan will be de-activated in any. After the confirmation by subscriber 3G Data Plan “Pay As You Go” will be activated and all data access will be charged at 30p / 20kb.
For convenience of prospective 3G Mobile and High Speed Data service users, there is no changes for Voice and SMS tariff and it will be charged as Airtel’s 2G GSM Plan and customer can clubbed any 3G data plans as their needs and suitability.The 3G local, STD and Roaming Video Call cost will be 5 paisa/sec (Rs.3/minute).

pata nahi airtel 3g ko kya ho gaya, meine apne 2nd airtel number par 3g activate kiya jisme pehle se hi 98 plan chal raha tha, thodi der tak mughe 3g speed mili uske baad speed 2g se bhi kam ho gayi. i am confused what is happening

till 14 gb u can surf at maximum speed which can be upto 7mbps but after 14gb speed will be 20kbps but plan remains unlimited, ha ha ha u dont have full knowledge

i activated my plan by calling customer care at 198, they activated in just 10seconds. nt yet tried video calling bec no one has 3g phone in my area.

3G data plans from all operators are expensive for all us who have the habit of paying 1paisa for call and 100 rupees for 2 GB data. 3G is 10 times costlies than 2G.
In the shot run people have craze for 3g so some may opt but later within a year 3G is going to fail. I mean who will make daily video calls at 3 rupees per minute. This is just for special occasions for those who live far away from their dear ones like military men.
