Airtel don’t have 3G license for Haryana circle and using Idea’s 3G network. If Idea 3G is present in your area, you can manually search for network in network settings and select Idea. You won’t get 3G on Airtel’s own network. But before selecting Idea make sure zero rental plan is active. For this, SMS 3G to 121 from your Airtel number. Also, you won’t get charged for roaming and home rate plans will be applicable while you are active on Idea 3G network.

Airtel 3G is now available in Naraingarh town of Ambala District. Idea launched 3G services few days back here and as Airtel is using Idea’s network here under ICRA, Airtel customers can enjoy 3G by selecting the Idea network manually. I haven’t found any speed difference and yes selecting the Idea network says, “Home Network Selected” instead of “Selected Network Idea”. lol

@garg, They have tied-up with Idea and Vodafone to provide 3G in Haryana. In simple words, Airtel customers will be able to select Vodafone or Idea network for using 3G services. Airtel-Idea-Vodafone has signed an Intra Circle Roaming Agreement to provide 3G services on Pan-India basis.
