Aircel Rolls Out Its Own App Store, Calls It Pocket Apps Store

India’s 5th largest GSM mobile service provider AIRCEL today commercially the launched Mobile Application Store dubbed as “Pocket Apps Store” for its postpaid and prepaid subscribers across India.

The Browsing or access for ‘Pocket Apps Store’ is Free for Aircel Pocket Internet or Unlimited GPRS Plan subscribers. While for other postpaid and prepaid subscribers it will be available at just for a weekly charge of Rs7 or daily plan at Rs2, Aircel customers can download as many Free apps as they want or choose from lots of premium mobile applications at nominal price.

The App Store is centralized hub for mobile applications developed specifically for mobile phones. All the applications will be available to download, with a mixture of utilities including Music and Fun, Social Networking, Health and Living, Finance and Business, Gaming, mapping and Utility or Every day convenience and more.

To enjoy a million possibilities with Aircel PocketApps, follow 3 easy steps:

  • SMS “PA” to 52777 from your mobile phone to receive an SMS with a link.
  • Clicking on this link will direct you to the PocketApps page where you can browse thousands of apps by categories, new apps and top apps. Click on an app to get more information
  • If you are a subscribed user you can download the app. However, if you’re not a subscribed user you will be redirected to the Subscription page to choose a plan according to your needs.

Currently, there are 3 subscription plans to choose from:

  • Free Subscription: There are no charges for this subscription and it is valid for a single day. You can avail this plan for maximum 3 days over a period of 1 year .
  • Rs.2 Daily Plan: This plan gives you an access to PocketApps™ for a period of 1 day ending at 00:00hrs. This plan is on auto renewal.
  • Rs.7 Weekly Plan: This plan gives you an access to PocketApps™ for a period of 7 days ending at 00:00hrs of the 7th day. This plan is on auto renewal.

    the best thing about aircel is it gives isd calls at per second plan, i call to africa where every operator charges rs.10/minute and no special tariff pack for calling cheap to this country but in aircel i call at 17paise/second. wow
