Aircel, the 5th largest GSM mobile service operator today announce the launches New SMS Pack (Bonus Recharge) priced at Rs.79 for its prepaid subscribers in Delhi and NCR circles. The new SMS Bonus Recharges offers 20,000 free Local and National SMS to anywhere In India at Rs.79 with 30 days validity.
It seems that after the Reliance Mobile’s Unlimited SMS Packs, the competition heating up on SMS front in the Indian telecom space, Now mobile service operators are trying to match their SMS offerings with Reliance Mobile to woo the mobile subscribers.

Ya, TOTALLY TRUE… Charging THRICE the rent of RCom and acting like offering more than RCom by giving 20k SMS and we have to keep in mind that these Aircel, Airtel, Voda offers SMS charges @ Rs3.40 while roaming till mid of Nov2009… Now it is Rs1.50/SMS in roaming…

bakwas offer. 20000 sms not going to help customers @ 79. instead gv 3000 sms @ rs. 12/month. (ie considering avg cost per sms)
