I see low QoS and unfair billing practices apart from opting a lower tariff from another operator as key reasons why people switch over. I personally used MNP twice for phones within my family, once for better tariff (from Vodafone to Tata Docomo) and once for unfair billing (I would rather say robbing) (from Airtel to Tata Docomo)

s I also port in to idea from docomo coz of network coverage n quality.
docomo is best in tariff wise but they don’t bother about coverage n quality.
if docomo improved there quality surely I will come back.
    but is it possible?

    Achu :

    Amit :
Mainly its because of services & Network quality.
Here Idea is in very aggressive mode, They are calling all old port out customers to join Idea again by offering very low tariffs of I-I 10p/min others 30p/min, Daily 200L+N SMS, 250MB 3G data free, all for next 6 Months.
Uninor is loosing out, may be its adding new customers but loosing out its existing & Loyal base to AIrtel,Voda,Aircel,Idea since people feel it will be out of business in few days

Ah… Airtel offering freebees for port in… IT IS ILLEGAL AS PER TRAI DIRECTIVE..

Sorry not just Airtel …. all Pvt operators
